information you may be providing to Experience the Mountain
Parks. Like most standard website servers we use log
files to track and monitor the user's movement within our
site. IP addresses are recorded, but are not linked to personally
identifiable information.
Experience the Mountain Parks may collect personally
identifying information about you, only if you provide it
voluntarily. Although our ability to provide service requires
that we collect this personal information, we take measures
to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of that information.
Personal information is collected and retained only when
you voluntarily provide it. Such information is received by
us only when you send an e-mail through the website or make
some other specific contact. The personal information you
provide to us is forwarded only to the person or department
that is equipped to handle your request and is used only to
respond to your inquiry. There are two exceptions to this
general rule.
Firstly, users should be aware that when you are on the
Experience the Mountain Parks website, you could be directed
to other sites which are beyond our control. There are links
to other sites from the Experience the Mountain Parks
website pages that take you outside our service; this includes
links from advertisers, sponsors and partners.
And secondly, those users who submit an entry to any one
of our "Reader Contests", should be aware
that their business card information is being collected and
shared freely with our contest sponsors. Business card information
includes the entrant’s name, address, phone number and/or
email address.
The Experience the Mountain Parks website's policy
does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation
of the internet, and therefore beyond the Experience the
Mountain Parks website's control, and is not to be applied
in any manner contrary to applicable law or governmental regulation.
If we change our Privacy Statement, we will post those changes
on this page so our users are aware of what information we
collect, how we use it and under which circumstances, if any,
we disclose it. Users should check this policy frequently
to keep abreast of any changes.
