Parks Canada goes beyond the traditional winter experience

Posted on: January 9th, 2012
This winter, visitors to Canada’s first national park can go beyond the traditional snowshoeing and cross-country skiing experience by participating in SnowDays.

From January 14 to February 12, a variety of Parks Canada programs and activities will be offered – all free with the park or national historic site admission fee.
These new opportunities allow visitors to learn about, experience, and enjoy the spirit, wonder and awe of their national park in a snowy mountain wonderland. Activities include winter walking, “Learn- to” programs, geocaching, live theatre, bear talks, warden fireside performances, photography workshops, and live military firing demonstrations by the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site.
