July Trivia Quiz Winner

Posted on: August 10th, 2016

Each month on the Experience the Mountain Parks website we’re featuring a trivia question about Canada’s Railroad History. We’d like to congratulate our July Trivia Contest winner, Katie Novak of Calgary! She won a copy of Graeme Pole’s book “The Spiral Tunnels and the Big Hill,” which is the perfect companion for railroad enthusiasts or history buffs. Greme also supplied the questions for our monthly trivia contest, so you’ll learn just by participating in the contest.

In July, we asked if the following statement is true or false:

At one time, the Spiral Tunnels had large wooden doors at each portal.

The correct answer is “True”!

The August quiz is a multiple choice format. Everyone who answers correctly will also be entered in a draw to win a copy of Graeme Pole’s book “The Spiral Tunnels and the Big Hill.”

We received the following note from Katie Novak after she learned she had won the July contest (and a copy of “The Spiral Tunnels and the Big Hill”). She wrote,

That is SO fun, thank you so much!
